LTTA: Using Pattern Learning And Self-Learning Methodologies.
The short term joint staff training event on ‘Using Pattern Learnıng And Self-Learnıng Methodologıes’ were held on March 7-11, 2022 in Udine, Italy by Ecoistituto del Friuli Venezia Giulia. 18 adult educators participated in the event from Saricam Public Education Center, Adana Alparslan Turkes Science and Technology University, Three Thirds Society and Rezekne Academy of Technologies, Foundation Research and Innovation in Education Institute
Objectıve of the training was Providing participants with theoretical concepts and exercises in Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning, based on theoretical learning modules, presentations of good practice examples, conversations, and Collaborative Learning.
The training event was built on theoretical learning modules, presentations of good practice examples, conversations, and experience comparisons. Participants acquired a practical understanding of Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning.
The training program is as follows:
Day 1: Presentation of the ASL Project and Tasks; Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning
Theoretical Concepts and Exercises in Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning; Practical Understanding of Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning; Simulation Activities in Pattern Learning and Digital Social Learning; Self-evaluation
Day 2: Coaching and Mentoring Techniques in a Self-Learning Environment; Effective Coaching Techniques in a Self-Learning Environment; Motivation and Reinforcement in an Online Teaching-Learning Environment; Vicarious Reinforcement in an Online Environment; Participants’ Presentation on their Experience in Adult Self-Learning; Conclusion
Day 3: Job shadowing to ENAIP – Trieste [Italian consortium that offers vocational training and job placement services]: Observe company staff meetings; Complete office tasks or assist with projects; Conduct informational interviews of both professional and administrative staff; Observe functions and duties of a particular career; Tour the facilities; Review organization’s mission/vision statement and organizational charts; Understand office policies and procedures; Review current trends in the profession; Explore potential career paths within the organization and the profession; Meet with key players of the organization; Reflection; Effectiveness of Non-assisted Online Learning.
Day 4: Self-Learning: Motivation and Assessment; Facilitators’ Interaction with Adult Learners; The Efficacy of Self-paced Online Learning; Organizing and Supporting Peer Assessment; Working in Small Groups on Adult Self-Learning; Presentation of the Work-Groups Results.
Day 5: Issues in Adult Self-Learning; The Use of Social Media in Education; Discussion; Assessment
