Major Topic: Digital Inclusion of Adults

 

Introduction: This lesson presents the definitions of some basic terms required to understand the issue of digital inclusion better as well as the results of some important research on the barriers to use digital sources and explore ways to choose digital resources for digital inclusion. The unit also provides learners with the notions and examples  of digital storytelling and makes a step-by-step explanation of how to prepare a digital storytelling.

Education Objective

By the end of the Learning Unit, trainees will be capable of:
• Understand what is online interactions
• Use effectively online interactions in practice
• Describe the key elements of online interactions
• Able to use a variety of different approaches for effective online interactions
• Understand and develop basic concepts of online interactions, using basic knowledge of information literacy and digital content creation tips
• Be aware of safety rules and key problem-solving during online interactions
• Realize advantages of online interactions

 

The offered sub-topic will provide an overview of the following aspects of online interactions:

1. Online Interactions - Introduction, Key Factors and Elements
2. Information Literacy in Online Interactions
3. Interaction through Digital Technologies
4. Digital Content Creation for Online Interactions
5. Safety and Problem-solving in Online Interactions
The basic methods and approaches are introduced. The use of different online tools is explained with examples and videos.
The course is designed for the users to increase the effectiveness of online interaction.

During the course:

 Theoretical background will be provided for better understanding of online interaction;
 Samples of digital collaborative technologies will be presented;
 Practical examples through videos;
 Practical exercises and tasks, pattern-based activities;
 Pair-learning and Online collaborative learning activities;
 Reflection and discussion about the topic;
 Usage of offered online tools for further communication and collaboration.
 Self-evaluation tools to measure the progress

 Practical Tasks –Two practical tasks are offered after each sub-topic
 Final Test and self-evaluation
